Claude Cohen has edited Guidebook on Molecular Modeling in Drug Design
(Academic Press, £44/$59.95, ISBN 0 12 178245 X) with advanced
students and professionals in mind.. Shape is all important at the molecular
level. It determines how well an enzyme inhibitor or a receptor agonist, for
example, will interact with their target site. Our understanding of how shape
affects strength has advanced rapidly in recent years. Cohen also provides a
field map of computer-assisted drug design.
