The Mushroom Book by Thomas Læssøe and Anna Del Conte (Dorling Kindersley,
£19.99, ISBN 0 7513 0258 9) catalogues 450 species, with excellent
illustrations. It also offers some mouthwatering recipes. The large format and
high price make this a book to keep in the kitchen or on the coffee table, not
carry into a muddy wood.
