In the Feedback item of 8 February on Stephen Salter’s evidence to the
Select Committee on Energy, an editorial error led to us wrongly stating
that Salter cried ‘The best’ after he was described as ‘one of the best
witnesses we have had before this committee’. In fact, this comment was
made by Geoffrey Dickens MP, and was a view shared by several committee
members after hearing Salter’s masterly presentation. We apologise for any
offence this error may have caused.
