THE NATIONAL Commission on AIDS in the US has urged the government to
lift restrictions that bar people infected with HIV from entering the country
unless they have a special waiver. The League of Red Cross and Red Crescent
Societies, the British Haemophilia Society and other groups say they will
boycott the Sixth International Conference on AIDS in San Francisco next
year unless the rule is repealed.
