Dear reader,
We may not look it, but New Scientist is getting on a bit – later this year, we will be celebrating our 70th birthday. To mark the occasion, we want to hear your stories about the role the magazine has played in your life.
Has it changed the way you think, fuelled your passion or inspired your choice of career? Has something you read in New Scientist ever got you out of (or into!) trouble, or did you meet your partner following our short-lived foray into dating sites? Whether serious or amusing, do send us your anecdotes.
We would also like to hear from readers who have been with us longer than anyone else. If you picked up New Scientist for the first time near the beginning – perhaps even our first edition – tell us what you remember about the stories that stuck with you.
Please send your memories to letters@newscientist.com by 1 August and put “anniversary” in the subject line. We plan to publish a selection of our favourites, along with some other special features, in the 21 November issue. We look forward to reading them!
