From the couch-potato department of electronics company Sharp comes a bid to
bridge the gap between Internet shopping and cookery (EP 1041860). The idea is
that a supermarket advertises special-offer ready meals on its website. You
place an order online and the dishes are delivered to your door. Your PC then
sends instructions by radio to set the controls on your microwave oven. All you
have to do is follow simple instructions on the oven鈥檚 display, put the food
inside and close the door.
