When we get wearable computers, we鈥檙e going to need electric coat hangers to
charge them up, says Philips. The company is patenting a wardrobe with hangers
that charge cellphone or computer batteries in clever clothing (GB 2 331 631).
The hangers have electrical contacts that match the position of conductive pads
built into jackets, skirts or trousers. The hangers could even be used to
download data to your dungarees.
