Spring Technologies of Virginia is patenting a security system that monitors
staff in banks for the telltale signs that they are under threat (W0 99/6974).
The system stores the normal pulse rate, blood pressure, respiration rate and
skin resistance for each member of staff. When on duty staff wear biometric
sensors that continually monitor them. If a would-be robber threatens anyone,
the measurements change, and a silent alarm goes off.
