A cut in patent fees is in prospect for British inventors, according to Ian
McCartney, the minister for competitiveness at the Department of Trade and
Industry. 鈥淚 am actively considering across the board reductions in Patent
Office fees, for trademarks as well as patents,鈥 he told a conference of patent
lawyers in London last month.
