The latest karaoke machine to come out of Japan will allow singers to sound
like Louis Armstrong鈥檚 trumpet, or Ben Webster鈥檚 tenor saxophone. Matsushita,
the parent company of Panasonic, has developed a system that converts a singer鈥檚
voice into the sound of almost any musical instrument, from the trumpet and
saxophone to the sousaphone. The karaoke machine is due to be launched later
this year.
