The music industry has reacted with alarm to a £500 recorder, just
launched by Philips, that can copy music onto blank CDs
(Technology, 14 June, p 23).
“There have been no discussions between the hardware and software
industries,” the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry
complains. “The piracy implications are immense.”
