The music industry has reacted with alarm to a 拢500 recorder, just
launched by Philips, that can copy music onto blank CDs
(Technology, 14 June, p 23).
鈥淭here have been no discussions between the hardware and software
industries,鈥� the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry
complains. 鈥淭he piracy implications are immense.鈥�
