A SIGN of the times: instead of sending conventional application forms, many of this year’s intake of students to the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology submitted their World Wide Web home pages. “In two years there probably won’t be anyone who doesn’t,” Nicholas Negroponte, head of the lab, told Netropolitan. And where MIT leads, others will surely follow.
