Antonio Ruberti, current president of the EC council of research ministers,
unveiled a programme last week to fund the transfer of science and technology
to eastern Europe. The programme has one of the EC鈥檚 longest acronyms yet
鈥� Copernicus, which stands for COoperation for Pan European Research Networks
for InterdisCiplinary University Science.
